Text Box: Wedding FAQs What are proof prints and proof albums? Proof prints are the first set of prints you get from the photographer with all of the best shots of your wedding, edited and color corrected. These prints are put into a proof album for you and your family and friends to look over, view the wedding and order additional prints. What are the formal portraits? The posed and lighted photographs of the bride, groom, their wedding party and any family with the bride and groom. When will you take the formal portraits of our wedding? I will discuss what works best for you. Tradition says the bride and groom shouldn't see each other before the wedding. Many people still follow this rule, but some opt to save time and see each other before the wedding so their formal portraits can be completed. For those wishing not to see each other, we will do separate sessions before the wedding of the groom, groomsmen and his immediate family and the bride, bridesmaids and her immediate family. We are having the wedding at a church but would like to have some photographs taken outdoors. Can we do that? Yes, and I encourage taking photographs outdoors, no matter the time of year. We can fit in a session at a local park or even just stepping outside the church. I have seen some really neat wedding photographs with different edges or with words on them. Are you able to do this? Definitely. I am trained in photo editing and will do some of that with your proof prints. When you get your proof prints or CD and you decide there is a print you would like to order, but would like editing done to it, just discuss that with me. How do I get our wedding booked with you? Contact me by phone or e-mail (visit the Contact Us page or submit the form to the right) and see if your wedding date is available. I do like to meet with the wedding couple to go over the details and contract form and answer any questions. Once I have your deposit, your date is held and I will be in contact with you a few times before the wedding. We would really like to use you for our wedding photographer but with our current economic situation, our budget is a little bit less. Can you help us out? Because of the current economy, for 2009 weddings, I am willing to see if I can photograph your wedding and stay within your budget. If you feel the basic package offered exceeds your budget, get in touch with me by phone or e-mail and tell me about your situation (your photography budget; the date, time and location of the wedding/reception; and what services from me you would be willing to have cut from the package). I will see if I can create a package for you; however, I cannot guarantee I will be able to help everyone as there are several factors when deciding if it is feasible. To reserve a wedding date, couples will need to sign the appropriate papers and put down a 25% non-refundable deposit. The remainder of the package fee will be due two weeks before the wedding.
